Watseka, ILLINOIS — A free screening of the award-winning medical cannabis documentary “Waiting to Inhale” will be held at the Watseka Theate, 216 E Walnut St. Watseka, Il 60970, on October 16, 2010 at 2 p.m.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with Dan Linn and Mike Graham, of the Illinois Cannabis Patients Association, about medical cannabis and ongoing attempts to make Illinois the 15th state to give seriously ill patients safe and legal access to medical cannabis. There is currently a medical cannabis bill, S.B. 1381, before the House.

Produced and directed by Jed Riffe, “Waiting to Inhale” examines the medical cannabis debate up close by taking viewers inside the lives of patients, doctors, and activists, while seeking to understand why opponents support the continued criminalization of sick and dying patients who could benefit from medical cannabis.
“Waiting to Inhale” was the winner of the 2005 CINE Golden Eagle Award, the Gold Special Jury Remi Award at the 38th Annual WorldFest-Houston and the 2005 Best Documentary Film/Video at the New Jersey International Film Festival.
