Department of Public Health Issues Draft Rules

The Illinois Department of Public Health (”DPH”) has posted its draft administrative rules for the Illinois Medical Cannabis Pilot Program online. You can view the draft rules here. The State will be posting all draft administrative rules on in order to ensure public participation in the development of this Pilot Program.

The success of the Pilot Program depends upon rules that create a safe, consistent, and convenient environment for eligible patients. This emphasis on patients is why the State is beginning with the public posting of DPH rules. All comments and suggested changes to the draft DPH rules are welcome and encouraged, and should be sent electronically to When commenting on specific sections, please include the page number and the section you are referring to. DPH asks that you submit any comments by Friday, February 7, 2014.
